Challenge

Etex owns an asbestos dumpyard

Such a dumpyard is a useless asset, unless if you can use it as a solar park! The challenge is not to penetrate into the ground in order to avoid making holes in the plastic cover containing the asbestos.

Solution

Groundmouted Solar

A 1MWP ground based solar park without penetrating the soil. The plant is directly connected to the factory.

“Etex is a signatory of the UN Global Compact and supports the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. The important collaboration with GreenPulse fits in that context. Without any extra capex from Etex or additional investments in inhouse expertise, we can achieve a substantial CO2 decrease and at the same time cut our energy expenses. By allowing GreenPulse to make use of our buildings, we can use up to 100% of the clean electricity produced at competitive prices. ”
